The NeuroEye Insight project is a collaboration between Aalto University and the University of Helsinki, aiming to leverage retinal imaging for the detection of Alzheimer’s disease. This initiative seeks to introduce a novel, non-invasive approach by analyzing retinal scans with advanced AI algorithms to identify early indicators of Alzheimer’s, thereby offering a transformative solution for early detection. The project combines interdisciplinary expertise and cutting-edge technology to address the challenges of Alzheimer’s diagnosis, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes through early intervention. This initiative represents a significant step forward in utilizing eye examination as a window into neurodegenerative diseases, making screening more accessible and efficient.
