Eye disease is a growing threat to sight worldwide. Glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy (DR) are the three leading causes of irreversible blindness globally, affecting half a billion people by 2040. All three are silent, progressive diseases of the retina or optic nerve that cause permanent vision loss. On the bright side, they are detectable, and treatment can effectively stop or slow their progression.

Our DetectAndRefer AI technology offers detection and decision support to optometrists and eye doctors at the front line of eye care, where detection matters most. The software solution covers the most widely used imaging techniques, detects the three most important diseases of the retina, and fits directly into the existing workflow. One capture, two image modalities, three diseases, one referral recommendation, all within seconds.
