Beat the Blues: Employment in Finland

Join us to talk about your experiences on job search and working in Finland. What good practices would you like to share with your fellow students, and on the other hand, what challenges have you faced as a jobseeker in Finland. This spring's first Beat the Blues event offers a space and time for discussing and reflecting on job seeking themes with Aalto Career Design Lab specialist Niina Malkamäki as well as other international students.

Employment in Finland

Join us to talk about your experiences on job search and working in Finland. What good practices would you like to share with your fellow students, and on the other hand, what challenges have you faced as a jobseeker in Finland. This spring's first Beat the Blues event offers a space and time for discussing and reflecting on job seeking themes with Aalto Career Design Lab specialist Niina Malkamäki as well as other international students.

Niina will start with an introduction to the topic of job search in Finland as an international. The event continues with casual workshopping in small groups, covering topics such as job-seeking culture, language issues, networking and integration into Finnish society. Some former students (alumni) might be joining the workshops as facilitators and sharing their experiences from the time after graduation. Depending on the number of interested participants, there might also be an opportunity to play an educational game on navigating your way into Finnish job market.

Small snacks will be available! Please register in advance using the registration link above. Registration gives us valuable information for practical arrangements.
