Aalto Research Data Uncovered

For the first time, we are giving the platform to two researchers chosen via an open call to present their research data from an open science point of view. This will be the closing event of this spring's RDM and Open Science training season. Come join us uncover research data at Aalto!

At this hybrid event on the new Hybrid Stage, we will premiere two short videos introducing the exciting work of Marika Tervahartiala (ARTS) and Kamyar Hasanzadeh (ENG). Both will also host 15-minute presentations where we will learn about opening research data by exploring cases of visual data and geospatial data. At the end, there will be a 15-minute Q&A. After the livestream and the official programme ends at 2 PM, you are welcome to hang around and mingle!

The event is open to all including those outside of Aalto University. Please register from the link above and let us know if you’ll attend in-person or online.


Please note that the audience members may show in the livestream footage which will also be recorded and will remain on YouTube. In addition, there will be still photography at the event including photos of the audience.

Location: This hybrid event will be held in-person at the Aalto University Harald Herlin Learning Centre's Hybrid Stage venue on the K-floor (Makerspace). The address is Otaniementie 9, 02150 Espoo, Finland. The event will be livestreamed on the Aalto Research Services YouTube channel. Registered participants will get the event link closer to the date.
