Aalto Double Degree Day 20.11.24

Are you interested in earning two or more Master's degrees at the same time? The traditional Aalto Double Degree Day is here again, so come and chat, ask, wonder – would this be an option for you! Staff from Aalto's international joint degree programmes is introducing the programmes at the Undergraduate Centre Main Lobby on Wednesday 20 November at 10 am - 2 pm.

What exactly happens on Aalto Double Degree Day?

On 20 November Aalto's international joint degree programmes invite you learn and navigate through a variety of excellent international study and collaboration opportunities provided by Aalto University together with partner universities all over the world! You'll have the chance to meet staff and students from all joint degree programmes Aalto offers. You’ll get to hear and ask questions about the programmes, career opportunities, student experiences, and how to apply for the programmes.

Double Degree Day offers students the opportunity to:

  • map Master's programmes in your field that prepare you for an international career
  • weigh the personal benefits of a double or even triple degree
  • learn more about partner universities and countries
  • hear experiences from current students

Who can attend?

The event is aimed for students who are interested to earn two-for-one Master's degrees and study in two different countries. Double Degree Day is also a good chance for the Aalto staff to learn more about our partner universities, international collaboration and the benefits of international joint degree programmes. Both academic and non-academic staff are warmly welcome!

What are international joint degree programmes?

International double (or even triple) degree programmes are two-year Master's programmes, organised jointly by two or more higher education institutions in different countries. In joint degree programmes you study two years full time in at least two universities in at least two different countries, and complete Master’s degree in each of them following the programme's curriculum. One Master’s studies will lead into double or even triple degree!

Studying in several different cultures and completing project works in multicultural student teams will provide you excellent competencies for international career opportunities. And friends all over the world.

International Joint Degree Programmes

Aalto University offers international joint degree programmes at master-level together with its partner universities in over 20 countries. These programmes have separate application periods and admission procedures from the rest of the master's programmes offered by Aalto University.
