Power Transmission Systems
Our research focuses on power transmission systems, which connect power generation, large electricity consumers and regional networks, and enable electricity exchange between countries. We study the planning, operation, control and monitoring of these systems, as well as their dynamic behavior.
Our main research areas are converter-dominated power systems, power system monitoring, optimal grid utilization and grid connection of large loads. We collaborate with energy-sector companies in Finland and international partners.
Our research group is a part of Electrical Power and Energy (EPE) thematic infrastructure in the School of Electrical Engineering.
