What do we do?

The Fashion/Textile Futures research group delves into innovative realms within the fields of fashion and textiles, employing a multifaceted approach to research. While sustainability in fashion and textiles, particularly the transition toward a circular economy, stands as a prominent focus, the group's research endeavors encompass a diverse array of themes and methodologies. Members exhibit expertise in material-based research, aesthetics and creativity studies, practice-based investigation, exploration of the intersection between textiles/fashion and technology, as well as strategic management within the fashion and textile domain.

The research group actively collaborates with diverse disciplines and companies to develop solutions for sustainable challenges and to advance sustainability knowledge in design, manufacturing, business, and consumption. Through these collaborations, the group seeks to foster innovative approaches that address pressing sustainability issues while promoting positive change across various sectors.
