List of conference themes and important dates for the 2027 Droplets Conference.
Droplets 2027 will continue the tradition of bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in droplet science, while fostering interactions between the wetting, phase-change, aerosol, and microfluidics communities. The Droplets 2027 will place particular emphasis on connecting the wetting and aerosol communities through shared interests in interfacial phenomena, environmental droplets, sustainability, climate science, and advanced materials.
The scientific scope of Droplets 2027 includes:
- Wetting, spreading and contact lines
- Droplet impact, splashing and dynamics
- Phase change phenomena (evaporation, condensation, freezing, melting and Leidenfrost droplets)
- Functional surfaces and droplet manipulation (superhydrophobicity, electrowetting and elastocapillarity)
- Aerosols, sprays and environmental droplets
- Confined droplets and microfluidics
