Graduation Party 2018
Important milestone

At the end of the academic year the new graduates with bachelor's, master's, or licentiate's degrees will be celebrated on Aalto University's campus in Otaniemi, Espoo. Welcome and congratulations!

Ceremony Week is traditionally always one week before the Midsummer week, this year 12 June 2024 Aalto University celebrates the new alumni from all the six schools graduated between 1 May 2023 and 30 April 2024.

Each school has their own graduation ceremony earlier in the afternoon for the graduates of this year. However, the School of Arts, Design and Architecture is an exception, part of the schools' graduates have their own graduation ceremony on the 19 June.

After the school's graduation ceremony all the graduates with their guests gather to the venue in the park for the Graduation Party. Food & drinks are reserved for everyone attending to enjoy before the Graduation Pin ceremony. Thereafter the party proceeds with music and dancing.

Doctors are celebrated separately in events of ceremonial conferment.

The event will be photographed for Aalto University communications and marketing purposes.
If you wish not to be in the photos, please inform the photographer during the event.

Graduation Pin, designed by Inni Pärnänen
Graduation pin

The multi-awarded designer Inni Pärnänen and alumni of Aalto University designed the graduation pin exclusively for Aalto Graduation Party. The pin can be attached to a jacket collar, cuff or neckline. The centre part of the pin features the Aalto seal designed by Juha Markula, also alumnus of the university. The seal communicates the university’s values and academic spirit and it is only used on official diplomas in the academic context.
