ARTS Summer School

Aalto ARTS Summer School 2025 theme is Spatial challenges beyond new construction. The Summer School course invites multidisciplinary students from various international design and architecture schools to develop alternative ways of shaping built environments and engaging with related environmental, material, and sociopolitical questions. The course employs futures methods to unpack current unsustainable paradigms, rethink spatial practitioner roles, and develop alternatives for new construction on a case site on the Aalto campus.​ The 6 ECTS course consists of an online period (2 ECTS) in June-July and an intensive two-week period (4 ECTS) 3-15 August at Aalto's Otaniemi campus.
