It has the potential to motivate new modes of engaging with and caring for a world which is more important than ourselves. Art and art-based learning can encourage us to make new connections between living things, objects and materials,” a ViCCA student proposes.

A Finnish sauna was located in the heart of London, shimmering on evening light on the banks of the River Thames. Sauna was the result of Aalto University's and Southbank Centre's co-operation project.
Critical Design Practices is an MA level course that was run from 2018-2020 by programmes Contemporary Design and Fashion and Collection Design. It has been replaced by the course 'Reflective Practices' in 2020.
