Yes, you can apply to the Pathway even if you already have a university degree. You can use your higher education certificate as proof of eligibility.
Yes, you can apply; we do not have an age limit.
We are sending invitations to the entrance exam in July and the exam is available until July 24th. You will get instructions in the invitation. Check your e-mail regularly!
Yes, you can also apply through the regular channel to any University and degree programme.
At the moment, we only have a pathway that prepares for Bachelor level studies.

Yes, the Pathway programme fee is the same for everyone regardless of nationality.
We do not have scholarships for the Pathway programme fee.
However, when students progress to Bachelor degree studies at Tampere University, there are scholarships available. In admission, the highest ranking students will receive a 100% tuition fee scholarship in the Bachelor programme. Typically about one third of admitted students can receive full scholarships. Students who do not receive a full scholarship will be entitled to an early bird offer which will give them a 50 % reduction on the first year tuition fee. Students will also be eligible to apply for Tampere University scholarships during studies. No, there is no application fee. You will find the application form on our website starting from the 23rd of May. There are no other application channels except that on our website
No, there is no exam before you can apply. After you fill in the electronic application form that we publish on our website and send your documents, your application will be reviewed by our team. If you are eligible for the Pathway programme, you will get an invitation to our entrance exam by e-mail. If you pass the written exam, we will invite you to an oral exam. The whole application process and the exams are administrated by Aalto University.
Please note that the test is not required when applying for the pathway – students will have time until April 2023 to submit a language certificate.
Our admissions criteria (and with them, the list of accepted language certificates) will be confirmed in June 2022. Before they are confirmed, our terms are tentative.
Therefore our advice is not to do the language test before the requirements are confirmed - unless you need the test for some other purpose.
The entrance exam is available until July 24th and after that we will notify applicants whether they are invited to the oral exams or not. The individual oral exams are on August 1 until August 4. You will get the results soon after that - latest in the beginning of the following week.
