A! Engage in the Teaching Community – pilot is a low‑threshold way to develop your teaching competence and make your participation visible. You will receive an official credit (1 ECTS = 27 hours) when you take part in events of your choice and document your learning in MyCourses.
Events included in the pilot cover, for example, short trainings or micro‑courses and activities within Aalto’s teaching community. Through these you can get to know the Aalto teaching community and receive support for your own teaching. The pilot can be your first step into pedagogical training or a useful addition to your professional development plan.
By participating, you’ll get:
- An official credit (1 ECTS = 27 hours) and recognition for participation in Aalto teaching community events and short trainings
- Timely support, ideas, and networks for developing your teaching
- A structured record, that can be added for instance in your teaching portfolio, of your development and activities
How it works:
Who is it for:
All members of Aalto’s teaching community are welcome. To have the credit recorded, you need to have a valid employment contract with Aalto. The pilot is especially suitable for those early in their career or anyone looking for a low‑threshold route or extra university pedagogy credits. The pilot is part of the thematic pedagogical course offering and there are no pre-requisites.
