Talent Boost

Talent Boost is a national programme to attract international talent and promote their immigration and integration in Finland. The aim is to increase awareness of Finland and make Finland attractive to international talent, and improve the employment of international specialists who are already in Finland in jobs that correspond to their skills.

Kielibuusti

Kielibuusti (Language Boost)

In the Language Boost project, the teaching of Finnish and Swedish will be developed to better match the language proficiency needs of international experts to be recruited into Finland and those already in the country.

We coordinate the Kielibuusti project in collaboration with the University of Helsinki. Aalto University has special responsibility for sub-project 1: Collaboration between higher education institutions in teaching Finnish or Swedish as a second language: a national collaboration model and a digital platform.

University Pathway Finland

The University Pathway Finland programme provides international students with an exceptional opportunity to prepare for degree studies in Finland while learning from their own homes. Upon successful completion of the programme, students are given the chance to pursue studies in one of the chosen degree programs offered by Finnish universities.

During the academic year 2023-2024, the programme will be conducted by Aalto University, Tampere University, and the University of Oulu. The Pathway 2023-2024 programme is divided into two tracks: Science & Technology and Economics.

Employment Support

We work to strengthen the connections of international students to working life, so that they could stay and work in Finland after graduation. Together with Aalto Career Design Lab, learning services and degree programmes, we provide students with information about Finnish working life, support them in finding internships and thesis placement, and strengthen their connections to employers and alumni.
