The national research funding database for science, art and culture Aurora has been published. It replaces the former TURA research funding services. Aurora contains both Finnish and foreign funding opportunities that Finns or researchers living in Finland can apply. The database has been developed and is maintained by the University of Turku. At the moment, the information is in Finnish, but the service will soon be published in English and Swedish as well.
The Aurora database is funded by SRNK, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Universities Finland UNIFI, the Rectors' Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences ARENE and TUNE.
Säätiöiden post doc -pooli ("the Foundations' Post Doc Pool") is a grant resource set up by Finnish foundations and intended for post-doctoral research abroad.
The Pool's aim is to make Finnish research more international by offering young scholars flexible funding from one source that covers all expenses of a research period abroad for at least one academic year.
Säätiöiden post doc -pooli has two application rounds per year.
CIMO coordinates grants intended primarily for Finnish higher education students and researchers who wish to carry out postgraduate studies or research abroad. Subsidies are also available for language students to take language courses in certain countries.

Finnish citizens may apply for subsidies from the Russian government for undergraduate or postgraduate studies or research in certain fields at Russian state universities. This does not apply to artistic disciplines.
The Council of Finnish Foundations website is intended for funding applicants and recipients, and others who are interested in foundations. Grant applicants can look for suitable forms of funding in the database and receive advice on funding matters. The extensive links library has links to a large number of foundations and other bodies that give grants and subsidies. The search engine and the announcements are only in Finnish.
The Fulbright Center is a service organization that specializes in cultural exchange between Finland and North America. The services include grant programs, and advising and information services.

The EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion website provides information on mobility and funding opportunities for researchers to work in other countries, including research and work openings, job opportunities and practical services in each country.
European-funding-guide.eu helps students in all academic fields, in all semesters, and in 16 European countries. It helps them find personal matches in scholarships, awards and grants out of the more than 12,000 that are available, worth €27 billion. There are 300 of these programs that are based in Finland. Students only have to enter their profile and the automatic matching software instantly selects the programmes that fit best the individual student. European Funding Guide includes financial support for the cost of living, for a semester of study, an internship, a language course abroad, or support for an academic research project.
