The right of appeal means that the applicant has the possibility to request for rectification if she/he believes that there has been an error in the decision-making process. The right of appeal is not intended as means for receiving feedback or asking for further information about the application process.
A written appeal should be submitted to the university within 14 days of the publication of the results. The appeal must be received by the university by the given deadline.
The appeal must specify the subject matter of the appeal as well as the grounds for it. The appeal should specify the study option (or study options) the appeal concerns. The appeal should contain the personal data of the applicant and be signed either by the applicant or her/his authorised representative.
The admission decisions, and the decisions on the appeals, are made based on the information the applicant has delivered within the application period or by the deadline for submitting the application documents 10 January 2020 and if the applicant has received a supplement request, a later deadline stated in such request. It is not possible to submit new additional documents with the appeal after those dates.
No appeal may be lodged against a university decision pertaining to a scholarship.
The admission decisions for Master’s admissions will be published on 30 March 2020. Appeals against the decisions shall be submitted by 14 April 2020 3:00 p.m. local time (GMT + 3:00) to: Aalto University, Registry, P.O.
