Digital signature as part of workflows

Telia Sign strong digital signature service can be used as part of workflows to sign documents. The signature is done with strong authentication using Mobile certificate (also called Mobile ID, in Finnish Mobiilivarmenne). The service is currently in use for administrative decisions workflow (e.g. principal's and dean's decisions), invention disclosures and ASUC agreements. These workflows also automatically archive the signed documents agreed place.

To sign documents the signer must have Mobile certificate identification method in use. It can be taken into use with your work mobile phone subscription free of charge.

Widening this service to new digital signature use cases is restricted (due to procurement reasons) but inquiries can be sent to [email protected] Aalto is currently using Telia Sign only as part of a workflow (not Telia's own portal for individual documents).

Mobile Certificate at Aalto

Mobile Certificate (also called Mobile ID, in Finnish Mobiilivarmenne) can be taken into use in Aalto University's Elisa mobile subscriptions free of charge at .

Mobile Certificate enables easy authentication to many services and it is necessary for Aalto's digital signature service (e.g. administrative decisions). You may use the Mobile Certificate registered to your work phone also for private authentication purposes.

What you need to get started: Elisa's work subscription, smartphone and Finnish online banking keys for registration. Note: the service is free of charge, even though the registration form mentions billing. Elisa's registration form is currently available only in Finnish.

The Mobile certificate can also be registered at Elisa shops.
