Aalto University's Course feedback tool is subject to the EU's accessibility directive, the aim of which is to ensure equality in a digitalized society and set uniform requirements for accessibility. The objective of Aalto University's Teacher services of Learning services and the system supplier Studyo is to provide a service that is technically accessible and understandable in terms of its contents and that is clear and easy to use for all types of users.
The accessibility of the service has been assessed in Studyo Oy (continuous assessment) and in the thesis done in Haaga-Helia (spring 2021). The information in this accessibility assessment is based on Studyo Oy's self-assessment and the above-mentioned thesis.
The Aalto University Spark feedback system will be launched on 23 October 2023. The site's current accessibility is WCAG 2.1, the level A+AA. The requirements of the Directive have been taken into account coninuously in the step-by-step development of the course feedback tool Spark. The course feedback tool Spark almost completely meets the requirements for accessibility.
The website requires further improvements, however, in the following areas:

Course feedback is a unique part of the feedback portfolio at Aalto university and it reaches students in all phases of their studies and is collected systematically throughout Aalto. Hearing the voice of students is vital for the development of teaching and education as well as for quality assurance and for improving study-related services. Feedback is used on multiple levels in many ways and its utilisation is a special focus area at Aalto.
