Description of the programme

Nordic Master Programme in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering is organized by the School of Engineering.

Nordic Master in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering is a world-class education in the energy sector and an international double degree programme leading to two Master's degrees. The programme combines sustainable energy engineering with innovation and entrepreneurship. The innovative aspects of the programme are related to both the advanced renewable energy concept in the Nordic countries as well as new businesses in the energy sector.

Nordic Master ISEE is a unique programme as it allows students to study and graduate from two different top-ranked universities. The programme has four study tracks:

  • Bioenergy (KTH – Aalto)
  • Energy Systems (Aalto – KTH)
  • Heat and Power Engineering (Aalto – Chalmers)
  • System Integration of Wind Power (KTH – DTU)

Tuition fees

The programme follows each university's own tuition fee policies.

In Aalto University, the tuition fees for tuition-fee students are the following:

  • Right to study started on or before 1 August 2024: 15,000 EUR / academic year
  • Right to study started on or after 1 August 2025: 17,000 EUR / academic year

Participation costs and fees will be charged according to the university regulations at the Partner Universities.
