Episode 7: How to ensure social acceptance of green hydrogen transition?
Firms and governments are pushing for hydrogen initiatives for financial gains and to combat climate change, and for good reason: hydrogen can be a key component in our transition to green energy.
But do these good ends also reach all?
Many of the costs and benefits from the initiatives are felt and divided unequally. They also affect people and peoples with less voice and power.
Is the transition to green hydrogen economy socially just? And what risks are there if we do not consider this viewpoint and garner support and social acceptance?
