My background is in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a focus on plant metabolism. I have long-standing experience as a wet lab scientist (postdoc) and being a lab manager. My scientific expertise is in metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, protein expression and purification, genome editing and I also have some experience from working in structural biology. Throughout my research career I have worked with various model systems, ranging from plants, bacteria, yeast, insect cells and mammalian cells. I have broad experience in all sorts of molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques.

- organizing various events such as seminars, conferences, trainings

- founding member of PHYS Diversity Team

- assisting the leadership with preparing strategic and other materials

- communications tasks: aalto.fi web editing and publishing content, producing a weekly newsletter, info screen adverts
