Aalto University Financial Services is now looking for a Project Controller

Your role
Funders such as the Academy of Finland, EU, Business Finland, as well as various foundations and companies, enable the research conducted in our schools. As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of research projects throughout their lifecycle. You will work in the school's finance team, actively collaborating with both academic and other service personnel.

Your main tasks

• Taking care of budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting of project funding

• Responsibility for project-related invoicing and auditing

• Preparing various reports and calculations

• Communication with domestic and international partners on project financial matters

• Reporting to project funders and leaders

We expect from you

• Knowledge of financial management and accounting

• A higher education degree

• A proactive approach to work

• Good organizational and time management skills

• A service-oriented attitude

• Ability to manage details carefully while understanding the bigger picture

• Good IT skills and excellent Excel proficiency

• Fluent Finnish and English skills

Project Controller position is suitable for both experienced finance professionals and those at the beginning of their career. We value the willingness to develop in your role and the ability to adapt to changing situations. We use Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP finance system, but experience also with other financial systems is considered an advantage.

The salary for the position is determined according to the University salary system used at Aalto University. The overall monthly salary at the start of the employment is approximately 3300–3700€, depending on prior experience and expertise. The employment relationship is permanent.
