Webinar Series: Unlocking the Potential of Neurodiversity in Education & Work

The webinar series consists of three webinars during autumn 2026, focusing on the neurodiversity in higher education and work life. This English-language three-part webinar series explores how neurodiversity can be better understood and transformed into a strength for individuals, teams, and organizations.

The webinar series is open to all university staff and it is offered as a collaboration between several universities via Teams. Feel free to join just one webinar or attend all three. Please see the detailed webinar programme below. The webinars will be recorded, and the recordings will be available to watch for 14 days after the events end.

Neurodivergent people are part of every classroom, workplace, and community. An estimated 15–20% of the population is neurodivergent, although the true number is likely higher due to underdiagnosis and unrecognized traits. As educational institutions and workplaces become more aware of neurodiversity, they are increasingly challenged to create environments where different ways of thinking, learning, and working can thrive. When recognised and supported effectively, neurodivergent individuals can bring valuable perspectives, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving abilities to both learning communities and organisations.

The lecturers in the webinar series are Heini Pensar and Riikka Seppälä. Read more about the lectures below.
