Unite! Secures €7.2 Million in EU Funding
Since 2019, Aalto University has been a member of the Unite! European University Alliance, a network of nine leading technical universities across Europe. For Aalto students, researchers and staff, the partnership provides access to a trans-European campus, joint degree programmes, virtual courses, seed funding and collaborative research initiatives.
The European Commission has confirmed €7.2 million in funding for Unite!’s next two-year phase. Of the 36 applications received, Unite! is one of 20 alliances selected for European funding to mainstream and upscale their activities. The decision recognises the excellent progress made by the alliance over more than six years of collaboration and provides a foundation for continuing and developing its activities.
“After a rigorous and collaborative proposal process, we are delighted that Unite! has secured funding for its next two-year phase. For Aalto, this provides an excellent opportunity to deepen the strong relationships already established between Unite! and our six schools.” –Petri Suomala
For Aalto students and staff, the next phase will bring continued opportunities to take part in international courses and programmes, staff training and research initiatives. Unite! will remain an important part of Aalto’s international activities.
