Finland needs bold, new approaches to meet the challenges of our time—and creativity is one vital source of the growth we need. Radical creativity questions old ways of working and introduces bold, novel solutions that can lead to entirely new structures and practices. It fuels innovation and creates new business opportunities.

“Creativity is a key skill for the future of work and an important factor in strengthening Finland’s competitiveness. By investing in creative development, we can reinforce Finland’s position as a leader in innovation and sustainability. We also see enabling creativity within our organization as a business advantage. Creativity plays a central role in designing technology services. Tietoevry Create’s nearly 9000 international experts apply creative thinking in many ways every day,” says Petteri Lahtinen, Country Manager, Tietoevry Create Finland.

Encouraging creativity through an online course and the Flow Festival talk programme

As a new partner, Tietoevry Create joins Aalto University in encouraging people to explore creative thinking through the Diving into Radical Creativity course. All participants who complete the free online course receive an Aalto University certificate and have the opportunity to earn three study credits. No prior knowledge or experience is required, and the course can be completed in either Finnish or English.

“We hope as many people as possible take the course — it truly offers valuable skills for navigating our times. Participants have reported learning useful tools for their professional lives, and the course has also brought them a renewed sense of hope in a changing world. More than 10,000 learners have already registered, which speaks to its appeal. There is a great need for tools that help us navigate the present moment, and radical creativity is one such tool,” says Riikka Mäkikoskela, Project Manager for the Diving into Radical Creativity course at Aalto University.

In August 2025, Tietoevry Create and Aalto University will bring radical creativity to the agenda at Flow Talks. As a platform for innovative thinking, Flow Festival is a perfect setting for exploring and discussing radical creativity. The Tietoevry Create and Aalto University Flow Talks session will take place on Saturday, August 9, and is open to all Saturday festival guests. The detailed agenda and schedule will be announced a bit later as part of the Flow Talks program release. Tietoevry Create is the official technology partner of Flow Festival 2025.
