The Shaking up Tech event returns to campuses next year on January 23. Applications for the event open on October 7 and close on October 31. The event is aimed at women and representatives of gender minorities on the threshold of choosing a career.

This year, in addition to the previously participating campuses of Aalto, the University of Oulu, and LUT University, Shaking up Tech will also expand to the University of Turku, with Åbo Akademi co-organizing the local event. The Aalto event is joined by the University of Eastern Finland.

Shaking up Tech offers participants speeches and various workshops, showcasing the field of technology, its latest developments, and challenges. In the workshops, participants will have the chance to experience firsthand what working in the technology sector could be like. They will, for example, get to measure heart activity, assemble a lithium battery, and produce hydrogen through electrolysis.
