Pricing principle for charging electric cars to change

The pricing principle for the charging of electric cars on campus will change on Friday, February 28 at 16.00 (4:00 pm). Instead of the previously used time-based charge, you will be charged based on how much energy you use.

The pricing will change at the turn of February and March. In future, you will pay based on how much energy you charge instead of how long you charge your car. The new pricing principle is more equitable, as the charging power of cars no longer has any significance. The new price is €0.11/kWh.

In addition, the charging time of all the electric car charging stations was extended by one hour at the end of 2019. The new parking limitation for electric car charging stations is 3 h. Please park your vehicle at a charging station only while you are actually charging it.

On campus, there are electric car charging stations in the parking area of the Harald Herlin Learning Centre, the Dipoli parking area, behind Maarintie 8, in front of Fat Lizard and in the A Bloc parking area.
