Masis Brewery is an Espoo-based microbrewery whose production facilities, taproom, and brewery shop are located in Otaniemi in the courtyard of Tietotie 2. In the taproom, visitors can enjoy beers on-site in the brewery’s unique atmosphere, and at the brewery shop beers can be purchased to take home. Weather permitting, the large outdoor terrace is also open, and by request, brewery tours and tastings can be arranged.

The taproom and brewery shop are open Wednesday to Thursday from 15:00–22:00 and Friday to Saturday from 14:00–22:00. Brewery shop sales close at 21:00. The brewery can be reached via the parking lot behind shopping center A Bloc.

“Masis Brewery wants to warmly welcome everyone to visit the old premises of VTT’s brewing laboratory! The taproom is a great spot for afterwork drinks, and with a valid student card, you’ll get a pint at a discounted price,” says Väiski Syväoja from Masis Brewery.

Masis brewery brings together beer and music with the MasisRock Festival

Masis Brewery will organize an all-ages, free MasisRock Festival music event in the courtyard of Tietotie 2 on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

The idea for MasisRock Festival began almost immediately after the brewery found its new premises in Otaniemi. From the first look, the courtyard was clearly a great place to host the brewery’s own festival. In 2024, the brewery organized several Masis Beer & Metal events around Finland in collaboration with different venues. This time, the event will not be just a metal festival—the music ranges from metal to punk and rock.

MasisRock is free of charge and open to all ages. Now even underage visitors can enjoy great music, food, and refreshments.

“Our goal is for MasisRock to become an annual tradition, and time will tell how big the festival will grow,” envisions Väiski Syväoja.
