What do you do at work?

As a doctoral researcher with the Aalto’s Satellite Team, I develop technologies for small satellites in challenging environments like Earth's radiation belts.

Can you give one example how you promote equality, diversity and inclusion?

During research group meetings, I encourage sharing diverse perspectives, which are crucial for innovation and success in my field. Collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds fosters creative solutions to complex challenges. In space exploration, diversity drives better decision-making and more successful missions, ensuring the benefits of exploration are widely shared.

At Aallonhuiput, Aalto's Doctoral Researchers Association, our mission is to unite doctoral students and cultivate a supportive community. As the Chair of Aallonhuiput, I advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion across the university and within our events. We ensure every event has a designated harassment contact person, provide sauna times for all genders, and promote understanding of neurodiversity.
