Krisztina Cziner, DSc, has been appointed as Head of Platform Services as of 15 May 2019. Her role is part-time (50%) and she will also continue as the Manager of Aalto Digi Platform for the remainder of her working hours.

Head of Platform Services acts as matrix supervisor for all platform managers and will develop the platform concept as well as other ways to support multidisciplinarity, with an eye on the future strategy period of the university.

The Aalto University platforms facilitate multi- and interdisciplinary research in Aalto’s key research areas. Platforms organize annually several thematic events and meetings which offer possibilities for networking for Aalto faculty and external stakeholders. Platforms bring together Aalto’s experts across departments.

Krisztina has worked for our university for 18 years: among others, Krisztina has worked as Manager of Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) and as a Senior Grant Writer and Research Liaison officer at the Research Support Services of Aalto University. Krisztina reports to Head of Research Services Ella Bingham and Vice President (Research) Ossi Naukkarinen.
