Help and Support During the Christmas Season

Starting Point of Wellbeing will be on a Christmas break from 12 December to 6 January, and during this time, there will be no drop-in guidance. On 7 January, guidance will resume normally. However, you don't have to be alone. If you need support in conversations or any help during the Christmas holidays, see the contact information below.

Youth shelters open during holiday season

The Red Cross Youth Shelters will help visitors during Christmas and the holidays throughout Finland. A young person, their family member or another loved one can contact Nettiturvis for discussion support, and young people can also find help in Finnish anonymously through the Sekasin chat.

In Christmas, the crisis accommodation of Youth Shelters will be open in three cities, and you can call the phone number of any shelter for crisis support as a phone service. All shelters will be open to help clients during the period between Christmas and New Year and on New Year’s Day during their standard service hours.
