“Through this joint professorship, we aim to strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation between architecture and structural engineering in research and education. Günther Filz has experience in construction and structural design, especially experimental exploration of structures and architecture. He will be working at the intersection of structures and architecture,” says Dean Gary Marquis of the School of Engineering.

Günther H. Filz is an architect (PhD) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), and he has previously worked at Institute of Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Innsbruck: first Research Associate from 2002, as Assistant Professor from 2010 and from January 2016 as Associate Professor.
