Aalto University’s Centre for Radical Creativity brings together expertise from various fields and seeks new ways of thinking and acting. It offers companies and partners a creative environment in which to experiment, explore and innovate.

Anssi Perttala will begin his role as an expert at the centre 1 October. His responsibilities will include producing multidisciplinary content and building collaborations with the centre’s partners. Perttala will play a key role in launching and developing the centre’s operations.

“I am very excited about the potential of the Centre for Radical Creativity and how creativity can be harnessed in a multidisciplinary way in various contexts. This role at Aalto University is the culmination of many of my passions: I love developing creative ideas, building and driving projects forward and achieving shared successes with a team. I’m really looking forward to getting to know as many people as possible within Aalto’s broad community. You can break the ice with me by chatting about movies, visual arts, or bike tours”, Perttala says.

From ideas to productions and collaboration

Perttala has extensive experience in creative production, communications and project development. He has previously worked in fields such as marketing, audiovisual production, service design and creative work. He also has experience in higher education, curriculum development and building partnerships with the business community.

“We are delighted to have Anssi’s diverse expertise strengthen Aalto University. His experience as a builder of creative collaboration is crucial to the Centre for Radical Creativity”, says Riikka Mäkikoskela, director of the centre.
