Aalto University to host Nordic Five Tech (N5T) alliance annual meeting in May 2023

Established in 2006, the N5T Alliance comprises five leading technical universities in the Nordic region: Aalto University (Finland), Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway). Together, these universities are known for their expertise in energy, environment, and sustainable development, and they are on a mission to create synergy in education, research, and innovation.
By building closer links between the N5T universities and industry across the Nordic region, students and staff can access world-class facilities and take part in diverse mobility activities, such as through joint Nordic Master's programmes and collaboration in doctoral education, with greater ease.
The N5T universities are particularly strong within the area of energy, environment, and sustainable development, and their motto for Aalto's presidency year (2023-2024) is "Together for a sustainable future". Through their collaboration, they aim to address global challenges and make a positive impact on society in line with Nordic values.
Event programme
As the host of this year's meeting, Aalto University welcomes delegates to the Otaniemi campus, Espoo-Finland. The programme features keynote speeches, a surprise performance, and an opportunity to experience the local Finnish cuisine.
Throughout the event, delegates will discuss their achievements, exchange ideas, and plan future collaborations. They will also have the chance to explore the Aalto campus and network with fellow professionals from across the region.
