About the minor

Intended learning outcomes

Students completing a minor in Engineering Materials build upon their prior knowledge of Materials Science and Materials Engineering to develop their competences in the characterization of the microstructure and mechanical properties of materials or in applying their understanding of the relationships between microstructure, processing, and properties of materials to the judicious and effective use of materials in engineering.
