Study, groupwork and meeting facilities

There are many sizes of spaces for studying, groupwork and meeting use in the Harald Herlin Learning Centre. They can be used within the opening hours.

Reading and working locations

There are hundreds of locations available for our customers and groups of varied sizes in the premises. 

The second floor is for quiet work, especially reading room. During exam periods the reading locations are heavily in demand. Please consider others and work silently.

First floor and K floor are more lively. In these locations you are free to have discussions and work in groups. Aalto University students with activated access can enter the 1st and K-floor 7.00 – 24.00. Read more: Access control with HSL card

The Learning Centre has phone booths designed for phone calls. Phone booths are located on First and K floor. Please do not book a phone call space as a personal reading or study place.

    Bookable groupwork and meeting rooms

    There are meeting and groupwork rooms for various sizes up to 20 persons on the first and second floors.

    Detailed equipment lists and photos are included in the booking systems. When agreed in advance, there are movable screens whitescreens and flip charts available for all these spaces.

    VR Hub facilities at Harald Herlin Learning Centre

    The VR Hub is dedicated to learning about extended reality experiences, located at the Harald Herlin Learning Centre. It can be booked with an Aalto user account.

    Mini Studio facilities at Harald Herlin Learning Centre

    Shoot a photo or video in a small, but very black room, with optional backdrops, located at the Harald Herlin Learning Centre. It can be used by anyone at Aalto University.
