BIMSpect is a design monitoring and control tool that aims to enhance the management of design projects in the construction industry. BIMSpect combines construction management research and computer science to develop an application that tracks design dynamics. The direct stakeholders of BIMSpect are design managers, designers, contractors, and clients who wish to gain better visibility and control over their projects. BIMSpect shows real potential in reducing design monitoring time, reducing design management costs, enabling timely coordination among different teams, and generating better quality design deliverables.
