Case: Forsante

Researchers at House of AI, together with Forsante and the Aalto Science IT Research Software Engineer team, are investigating how clinical practice guidelines can be automatically transformed into machine-executable and auditable rule models. 

The solution combines the ability of large language models to interpret medical knowledge with the precise, explainable reasoning of logic-based AI. 

The research demonstrates that clinical guidelines can be efficiently converted into high-quality rule models without extensive manual programming. This accelerates the development of clinical decisionsupport systems, improves their maintainability, and supports the digital transformation of healthcare in a safe and transparent manner.
