Travel grants for Aalto University graduates of energy technology, mechanical engineering or chemical technology.

Travel grant can be applied for research or study purposes abroad. (for postgraduate students only). Attached to the application: Statement of approval of the host university or research institute, research and travel plan and any statement from the supervisor.

Travel grants are applied for with free-form applications that include the applicant’s name, national identification number, student identification number, bank account number and municipality of taxation. The application must also include information regarding any grants or stipends the applicant has been awarded within the previous three years, including their amounts, as well as information regarding any currently pending applications for other grants or stipends. 
When applying for grants from multiple funds, separate applications must be submitted for each fund. The scholarships are typically between 1000 - 2000 euros.

Please note that travel grants must be used for the purpose they have been appropriated for. 
If the original plan is not carried out, the grant committee shall decide on whether the travel grant may be used for another purpose. A report on how the travel grant funds were expended must be submitted to the grant committee after the trip (travel report or certificate).
