Scholarship from Professor E. J. Nyström funds
Professor E. J. Nyström fund scholarships in 2026
School of Science announces the opening of the application round for the following scholarship:
Scholarships of 1000 euro are being offered from the proceeds of the Professor E. J. Nyström Fund for well-performed studies focused on so-called Professor Nyström’s subjects to undergraduates from Bachelor of Science programs or who have already completed their Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree at Aalto University.
Application period: 12.10.–9.11.2026
Please submit your application with the electronic form (opens 12.10.2026) no later than Monday 9 November 2026 at 23:59 (EEST). Late applications will not be accepted. An official transcript of records must be included as an attachment to the application.
Any necessary details for disbursing the scholarship will be requested later.

Criteria and course lists are reviewed annually before the application period.
The minimum criteria to be eligible for the scholarship in 2026:
- You are an undergraduate in an Bachelor of Science programme, or have completed your Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree at Aalto University.
- You have completed the following courses:
- MS-A000x Matrix algebra
- MS-A01xx Differential and integral calculus 1
- MS-A02xx Differential and integral calculus 2
- MS-A03xx Differential and integral calculus 3
- MS-A0xxx Basic course in mathematics (MS-A040x or MS-A050x)
- MS-C1350 Partial differential equations
- You have not been awarded the Nyström scholarship before.
All courses must be completed and the grades registered in Sisu when you apply for the scholarship. The language of the course does not matter. You can also add other relevant courses on the application form (course codes MS, PHYS, ENG, COE, KJR, KON, EKO).
We may also consider the applicant's GPA, study pace, and other scholarships/grants awarded.
