The need to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and its value as a strategic tool have been recognized by the world’s leading businesses. When we build diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations everyone benefits: Organizations thrive and grow, teams perform better and the well-being of individuals increases.

Now DEI is picking up in organizations in the same way it happened to sustainability and impact topics. DEI is becoming more strongly integrated into the business agenda of leaders, yet we’re still early on in this journey of awareness and action.

Inklusiiv was founded to help with this common challenge faced by leaders: How to stay up-to-date with DEI knowledge and how to advance it in companies? The mission of Inklusiiv is to make DEI knowledge available to everyone, support organizations in transforming it into action and foster a more diverse and inclusive working life.

Katja Toropainen is the founder of Inklusiiv and an award-winning public speaker, writer and columnist. Prior to Inklusiiv, Katja was the Chief Program Curator at Slush and she holds a Master’s Degree from Aalto University School of Business.

In her talk, Katja will tell the founding story of Inklusiiv, open up the topics of DEI and share what those mean for businesses that have ambitions to grow and thrive.
