You are warmly invited to the opening of Aalto University’s exhibition, presented as part of the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels organised by the European Commission. 
 
The Pathfinders – overcoming circular economy bottlenecks 
This exhibition explores the key barriers slowing the transition to a circular economy and showcases research-driven solutions to address them.

Research projects featured in the exhibition: 

  • Closing Loops storage building: a circular warehouse in Helsinki designed for reuse and long-term research  
  • BATCircle: advancing the recovery of critical metals from lithium-ion batteries to strengthen Europe’s resource resilience  
  • Textile Recycling Excellence (T-REX): a cross-value-chain collaboration to scale recycling of polyester, polyamide, and cotton  

The exhibition will be open throughout the New European Bauhaus Festival from 9–12 June.
