Should I stay or should I go? Exchange reflection workshop by the breakfast
Are you interested in studying abroad on exchange but are unsure about going?
Do you have some special needs that have made you think that studying abroad would not be possible for you?
This workshop aims to:
1. Support you in overcoming feelings of uncertainty related to the exchange (especially decision-making).
2. Support you in finding the courage to make your own decision about going on exchange - whether it is a decision to go or not to go.
3. Inform about the available forms of financial support, e.g. if going on exchange would require special arrangements due to special needs.
Did you know, for example, that you can receive additional support grant for special arrangements related to accessible living, mobility or studying, such as learning materials or the costs of assistants and preparatory visits during your exchange? Additional financial support can also be granted, for example, for applicants with families or students suffering from serious or chronic health problems. https://www.aalto.fi/en/other-studies/accessible-exchange-studies .
The workshop will have experts from Aalto's Starting Point of Wellbeing, Aalto Student Exchange Coordinators and, hopefully, we will also get some students who have already been on exchange to provide peer support.
Please register by Wed 2.4. at 23.59 using the Register-link provided below.
The workshop will be organized if there are at least six (6) participants. The workshop language will be either Finnish or English, depending on the participants.
Come along and let's find a solution to your situation together.
