What is neurodiversity and how to foster neurodiversity in the workplace? How to find best communication practices? How do we facilitate more inclusive working and learning environments? Come and join us for this Making Waves event with Assistant Professor Satu Saalasti from the Department of Humanities, Logopedics, University of Eastern Finland. Satu has studied perceptual and linguistic phenomena related to human communications. She has also worked with individuals with neurodiverse traits in public and private health care sector. Johanna Vuori-Karvia (Human Security and Neurodiversity Rights Specialist, National Autism) will also join us for this event to bring her expertise in neurodiversity policy and practice .

Schedule

  • 14:00 - 14:15: Refreshments (light snacks, tea, and coffee)
  • 14:15 - 14:45: Presentation by assistant prof. Saalasti
  • 14:45 - 15:30: Free discussion
  • 15:30: The event officially ends but people can stay and continue discussing until the end of  the venue reservation (16:00).
