Title: Designing for Care: Psychology, Therapy and Play
This talk explores how therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Executive Functions Training are translated into approachable gameplay. Anna shares how emotionally safe mechanics, gentle challenge, and player autonomy shape everyday design decisions, and how working closely with neuroscientists helps create experiences that feel supportive rather than overwhelming.
Bio: Anna Lecué is the Lead Game Designer at Soihtu DTx, a company developing video game-based digital therapeutics to alleviate depression. She works at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and game design.
