Diversity increases innovation, improves decision-making, supports employee well-being, produces better results, and boosts effective problem solving. While we understand the benefits, we need to further understand diversity and inclusion in the organizational context to be able to overcome the obstacles that are in our way to build inclusive workplaces. Learning and recognizing our unconscious biases is an important step on this journey as they affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in our everyday lives at work.
In April 2021, two trainings / workshops will be organized for Aalto's service personnel, which will deal with the promotion of diversity and inclusion in the work community. We recommend participating in both, but participation in only one of them is also possible.
In this workshop we will go through some theory, practical examples and both individual and group exercises to help you integrate D&I into your daily work.
