Intro to Triton and HPC

January 2026 / Intro to Triton and HPC

Part of Scientific Computing in Practice lecture series at Aalto University.

Audience: Everyone doing computational work at Aalto University

About the course: This is a compressed version of our longer "Introduction to Scientific Computing and HPC" which happens every summer on the first week of June. The aim for this course is to get researchers who recently joined Aalto / obtained access to triton to get up to speed fast with their computational work.

Schedule

Schedule is being refined and updated at https://scicomp.aalto.fi/training/scip/winter-kickstart-2026/

This time we are able to give 1 ECTS credit for Master/Doctoral students. More info during the workshop. You need to register to this course with the link above AND to add SCI-L1010 to your study plan in Sisu too. This is because SCI-L1010 is a course code for multiple workshops, not just this one.

We will tell more about this in the Triton user group meeting, see link below.

If you do not have a triton account, please apply before the workshop starts. If you have any questions get in touch with scip@aalto.fi.
