Discussion forum about Jokeri Light Rail

The purpose is to provide information about the Jokeri Light Rail financing plan and a forum for open discussion. The event is hosted by the Aalto University Spatial Planning and Transportation Engineering Research Group.

The event will take place in Hall R1, Rakentajanaukio 4, Wednesday 6.2.2019 at 16:30, and will last about two hours.  Before the event, coffee will be served in the lobby at 16:00.

Program:

1. Brief description of Jokeri Light Rail its main features and the target cost estimate by the Alliance Planning Group (Juha Saarikoski, Alliance Planning Group)

2. Jokeri Light Rail investment in crosstown traffic (Risto Kangas-Ikkala)

3. The views of Jokeri Light Rail financiers (Ministry of Transport and Communications, Helsinki and Espoo have been invited to present their views and comments)

The length of each talk is about 10 minutes.  After these presentations, there is an hour-long question-answer section. Presentations will be in Finnish. Questions in English of Swedish are welcome.
