Anna Niskanen (b. 1990) is a Helsinki-based visual artist. She completed her master’s degree in Photography at Aalto University in 2017. Anna’s works explore the limitations and conditions of photography and alternative printing processes.
Her works have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, for example the Mänttä Art Festival, Wäinö Aaltonen Museum, Lianzhou Foto Festival, Riga Photomonth, Porvoo Art Hall, Vaasa Art Hall, and Galleria Huuto. Her works are included in private and public collections. Anna is also one of the founding members of the Kosminen collective and the chair of the board of committee the Association of Photographic Artists, Finland.
Anna’s talk will include topics such as exhibitions and artistic creation, earnings / grants / sales of work + applications, residencies, Kosminen Collective / peer support, the Association of Photographic Artists and public art.
