AI agents unveiled – How AI agents work behind the scenes, October 27 at 1–2.30 PM (EET)

Description

The use of AI tools and agentic tools especially has sparked a great deal of interest in the academic world. Because the field around these tools is moving rapidly, and new terms and techniques are introduced every month, it can become overwhelming to keep up with the advancements. This workshop aims to help with this by explaining how these tools work and introducing relevant concepts.

In this webinar, we'll walk through recent developments on how AI tools are used in the wider world and try to clarify what different terms such as tool usage, AI agent, AI harness and AI systems mean. We’ll talk about the best practices on utilizing them so that you can get the results you want and avoid problems down the line.

We’ll also talk about some of the systems that Aalto provides for researchers.

Who can participate?

The webinar is aimed at staff and students who want to improve their computational and data-based research. Some presented solutions may be specific to Aalto University, but the principles can be applied anywhere. This talk is directed to anyone who wants to know how the AI agents work behind the scenes and while the subject is technical, we’ll try to keep it approachable to everyone and not lean into tech jargon.
